The layouts or system set-up examples are provided to give you an idea of some typical Soundmask systems. However, as each space is unique the Soundmask system designed for your project will be too.

Multiple Generators with Equalizer

This layout shows multiple Rack Generators (SM-GR-3100) along with a Digital Equalizer (SM-EQ-2000), Digital Distributor (SM-DX-4800), Digital Amplifier (SM-DA-8000) and multiple in ceiling transducers (SM-T-1200).

This is the kind of layout that might be used for high rise buildings where multiple levels require a number of Rack Generators, boosted by Soundmask's powerful Digital Distributor and Digital Amplifier combination.

Digital Distribution with Under Floor Transducers

This layout shows a Rack Generator (SM-GR-3100), Digital Distributor (SM-DX-4800), Digital Amplifier (SM-DA-8000) and multiple under floor transducers (SM-T-2200).

This is the kind of set-up that would be used for an under floor system where powerful soundmasking service is required, for example in highrise buildings. Soundmask’s Digital Distributor paired with the Digital Amplifier can couple with just one generator to power up to 800 transducers with 8 independent zones.

Shelf Generator and Surface Mounted Transducers

This layout shows a Shelf Generator (SM-GS-3200) and multiple surface mounted transducers (SM-TC-1265).

This is the kind of set-up that would be used for a small office like a counselling service, medical suites or lawyers offices where speech privacy is important but only a few rooms need the installation of a Soundmask system. The smaller system is often the most cost effective and energy efficient way to solve noise problems in such spaces.

Multiple Zones

This layout shows a Rack Generator (SM-GR-3100), Zone Distributor (SM-DR-5000) and multiple in ceiling transducers (SM-T-1200).

This is the kind of set-up where separate areas have different needs, but the client wants to spare the expense of multiple generators. The zone distributor unit is a five channel volume control, each channel with separate attenuator. It is a single rack unit designed for convenient installation.
